Committee
Chair Report
November 13, 2004
Greetings!
Wow, has this month gone by swiftly. It is time for committee
meeting. This Monday, November 22, we will be meeting at the
Alwert's home. The meeting starts at 7 PM and we try to be done
by 8:30 PM. Please join us. It's your Troop, too.
We are going into a busy time of the year with the Christmas
Bazar and PIR fundraising. Saturday, December 4th is Scouting
for Food. Please consider joining your Scout as we collect
canned goods for local food for food banks.
This Saturday, November 20th is the day of Preston's Eagle
Project. Please encourage your son to come and help. He can use
adult help also. Details can be found at the front table on
Tuesday, or by calling Preston.
If you haven't seen a copy of the revised Troop Policy, ask
your scout to check his mailbox, and to pass it on to you.
Our Scoutmaster has made a request for an adult to take
charge of the reservation process for the 2006 high adventure.
The plan is for the Florida Sea Base. It is a lottery process,
so we need to start getting organized. This does not mean that
you need to be planning on going.
I have been thinking about re-structuring the adult
positions. We have several families with sons nearing the end of
their Scouting with the Troop. The enclosed form gives you the
chance to communicate what roles you might be interested in
filling. Even if you have a position, let me know if there are
other areas you are interested in. It is possible that to fill
an immediate need that we could do some shuffling. And if you
are happy in your current position, let me know that too.
See you Tuesday!
