Chair Report

Hi!
The last couple weeks have been busy with the trip to Nanitch,
a successful Scoutmaster Breakfast, and an outstanding turnout for
Scout Sunday. The one night outing to Silver Creek Falls was fun!
I wish more than 13 of us could have gone. Yesterday we sent
representatives to Packs 17 and 542 where we crossed over 8 Weblos
to the Troop!
Monday, February 21st is our next Committee Meeting. It will
be at the Lohkamp's beginning at 7 PM. Please come.
Saturday, February 26th is Red and Green. The tickets are now
on sale at troop meetings. Please plan to purchase your tickets
before the 26th.
At Roundtable, I was give a list of leadership training status.
I know some of you are trained for your position and yet are
listed as not trained. I will be asking you for the month and year
that you were trained, so that these records will be an accurate
reflection of the training we have taken. I am also asking that
those of you that are not currently trained change that.
Scoutmaster Fundamentals will be offered on March 19th with the
overnight training on April 1st & 2nd. I can offer Troop Committee
Challenge within the Troop. Those of you with expired Youth
Protection can take it on-line, or on March 19th. Once we have the
new parents, we will offer it in the Troop. This is a big
component of Honor Troop. Right now we are 35 points away from
achieving this status for 2004.
These are the positions that will need to be filled in the next
few months: Secretary, Fund-raising Chair, and (NEW)
Outdoor Activities Coordinator. This last position would be
primarily responsible for promoting the monthly outings. Don't be
shy. Leap in and take on one of these. Helping to support your
son's program is rewarding! I will be adding the responsibilities
of Training Coordinator. It only makes sense that the self
appointed training junkie helps the rest of the troop get trained.
I am also looking for one very special person to eventually be
come our Eagle Mentor. Give me a call, or see me at troop.
