Committee
Chair Report
March 21, 2005
Spring Greetings!
First of all, a big welcome to our new Scouts and to their
families. Many of you were able to come to Red & Green and have
been to at least a couple Troop meetings. The outing to Butte
Creek was terrific! (A very good introduction to Troop 542.) I
was pleased to have so many first time adults along for the
ride. If you have any questions or concerns about the troop,
please do not hesitate to call me or Mr. Vermillion. We strive
to be a Boy Lead Troop, but sometimes it is helpful for the
adults to understand how things work.
April is Youth Protection Month. If you training is older
than two years, or you have never been trained, now is the time
to get current. Training will be offered at Roundtable on April
14th, 7 PM at the LDS church across from Centennial High School.
Training is also available online. There is a link to training
from our awesome web site. All adults with hands on involvement
with the scouts need to be Youth Protection trained.
Monday, March 28th is Committee Meeting. It is at my
house starting at 7 PM. All adults are welcome. This meeting is
where we conduct the business of the troop.
Hope to see you there,
M
