Happy Valentines Day, President's Day, Fat Tuesday........

Troop Committee Meeting is on Monday, February 20 at the Alwert's home. We begin at 7PM and end around 8:30PM. This is where the business of the troop is conducted. If you have questions or concerns, bring them to this meeting. If you need a spot on the agenda, please call me in advance.

The big event this month is Red and Green! A flyer and the newsletter should have come home with your scout last week. Tickets are on sale at troop meetings. Pre-sale is really important so that there will be the right amount of food. Patrols have been given responsibilities. Please help your scout help make this a really successful event.

Besides being a good time and an opportunity to honor and recognize the achievements of the troop, Red and Green is where we sign up for summer camp with a deposit, pay the second half of the yearly dues, and make what contribution we can towards Friends of Scouting. We should also be welcoming a few new families to the Troop.

I would like to encourage all adults to take an active role in the troop. We need Merit Badge counselors, Committee members, drivers, & leads for fundraisers. It takes a sound support system to keep a troop active and exciting. Please come forward and volunteer.
