It's time for the May Committee Meeting. On Monday, May 22, we will be meeting at the home of Mike and Koni Cash. The meeting begins at 7PM and hopefully (!) ends by 8:30.

This coming weekend is Camporee. I hop your scout is going to help his patrol compete. The crew will also be there as first time competitors. It is very important that the troop be uniform in appearance when they present themselves for inspection. The chosen troop uniform is class A shirt with correct insignia, blue jeans, a belt, and close toed shoes. No hats and no neck treatment are to be worn. The patrols will have decided on what their competition uniform will be.

Friday May 26th is Flag Placement at Willamette National Cemetery. Sign up and information can be found at the front desk at the Troop meeting. I want to emphasize that this event is a very important duty for the Troop. I have been told that the flag bearers will be picked based on how the scout presents himself in uniform.

Any chance we are Troop of the Year? Why not come to the District Dessert on June 8th and find out. It will be held at St. Henry's Church and begins at 7 PM. There should be at least one and maybe two recognitions coming to adults in our troop. Please let me know that you are coming so I know how many tickets to buy.

Remember that June 13th is Court of Honor and the mandatory camp meeting! Each scout going to camp needs a parent present to receive important information and to ask questions.
