Troop 542 Fundraising 2005-2006

The Fundraising Committee has worked hard to provide fundraising activities for you throughout the year. Candy sales will run all year long. Other promotions will run for a specific time. Attached is a schedule of the sales for the entire year.

You may participate in as many or as few fundraising projects as you wish.

Each promotion will be run by a parent volunteer. They will put out a flyer with the specifics of that sale: dates, commissions, product information, etc. The parent running the sale will be your contact person for that sale.

Please note the window of time for the sale, and have your orders and money ready to return to the sale contact at or before the deadline. DON'T FORGET >>> If you cannot make the deadline, you must get permission from Committee Chair Margaret Chapman FIRST and then whoever runs that sale to make other arrangements.

If you cannot pick up items ordered for a fund raising project, please make arrangements for another member of the troop, or one of your trusted friends or family to pick up the product.

On Council Popcorn Sale, Council Meet Stick Sale, and the Scoutmaster's Breakfast, commissions will be divided with either council or the troop. All other scheduled fundraisers benefit the boys and are not divided with the troop or council.

Note to Parents - Please take a few moments and go over these key points with your scout before each sale he will be participating in. These guidelines will help make fundraising fun and profitable for all of us. Questions? Call Carmen.

*** Denotes Council Sales which offer a smaller commission to the scouts, but fulfill an obligation to the council.
+++ Denotes a Scoutmaster's fundraiser that offers a nominal commission to the scouts, with the bulk of the profits used to buy troop equipment.

The fundraising committee has worked hard to provide enough sales so scouts have ample opportunities to earn money, but not so many as to overwhelm the troop. Use this schedule to PLAN AHEAD and you will be prepared. Thank you to the many parents, neighbors, family and friends who work to make our fundraisers successful! If you are interested in planning next year's fundraisers, you are welcome to join us. We meet in the spring to plan for the following year.
