Stopper Knot

Uses: To stop the rope from passing through a hole as in a belay/abseil device. Can also be as a temporary method to stop the rope from unlaying.

Instructions: 1) Form an underhand loop. 2) Pass the running end through the eye (two to three times). 3) Work the knot tight.

Notes: Passing the running end through the eye many times makes a decorative knot that can be used at the end of a rope.
