Service Hours

Please remember that all service hours outside of Troop Eagle Projects and Troop activities need to be approved before you do them. See Mr. Vermillion for approval of your hours! In addition, service hours (and leadership) will not count towards a rank until you have reached first class!

Church Bar-Be-Que
September 12, 2004

We will be running a booth or two along with Pack 542 on Sunday the 12th. Look for more information tonight. If you need service hours, or just want to have fun, please sign up to help. Call Mr. Thames if you have any questions. We also need people for setup on Saturday the 11th.

Eagle Project Coming
September 25-26

Join Chris B. on this weekend and help him attain the Rank of Eagle by helping him with his Eagle Project. His project is to weed, replant, topsoil and bark a native plant section at Lynch Wood Elementary School. Look for a flier and Chris to be talking more about it.

Dues Now Due!

Remember that 100.00 dues are now due for the Scout year. Paying $50.00 now and the balance in February is accepted! You can pay Jayne or Terri at the front desk. You may use your camp account, if you have money in there, or pay by cash or check!

Goat Creek Hike

Permission slips were mailed out and are due if you plan to go to Goat Creek the 17-19th. Extra permission slips are available if you lost yours!

Webelos Woods

October 1-3 is Webelos Woods. We will be doing fire starting and whittling. Sign ups are on the front table! Help show those future Boy Scouts how FUN Troop 542 is!

$$$$ Fundraising Opportunities $$$$

This month and the months to come are just packed with ways to earn money for your outings and High Adventure! See fliers in your mail box for a more in-depth accounting of fundraisers.

Starting next week, Apples and Pears will begin. This is a great way to earn money for your account. The apples actually cost .70 cents a pound and they are FRESH! We go to Hood River on October 16th to pack them. Start saving boxes because it will be cheaper in the long run. If we have to use his boxes, we will be charged $1.00 per box. Popcorn and candy bars will be starting soon!

Court of Honor

Court of Honor is earlier than last year. It is September 14th! The boys wanted it earlier so that they get the recognition from summer camp while they still remember it! Please bring a "finger food" type dessert to share with the group!
