Pictures Wanted

Daniel DesJardins will once again be making a CD of our Year in Scouts.  He would like any pictures that have been taken since last Camporee (2005).  Digital or film.  You will get your printed pictures back after he has copied them.  Deadline is May 23rd.  Please dig out anything you have and give it to Daniel.

 

Cinco de Mayo!

Calendar Planning at the Vermillion’s.  This is for SPL, ASPL and Patrol Leaders only.  Be there at 6:00PM for dinner and planning.  Don’t forget to come with your Patrol ideas!

 

Dyer/Vermillion Eagle Court of Honor

On May 15th, we will be having another Eagle Court of Honor.  Preston and C.J. will be the honored recipients. If you have read this, call Cathy Vermillion by Wednesday, May 10, 3:30PM, to be entered into a drawing for a SUPER prize! Invitations have gone out. We hope you all can come!

Camporee

The weekend of May 19th will begin our Camporee.  We have practiced and are geared up!  Please make sure proper permission forms are filled out and to get to the church on time.  We are in need of parents to come up and help.  If you can go for the day, please let Frank or Clark know as soon as possible.  Each boy that brings all his 10 essentials to Camporee in a bag will receive a prize!

 

Committee Meeting

The May committee meeting will be held at the Cashes.  Directions will be put on the front table.

 

Flag Placement

Flag Placement has been changed to Friday, May 26.  We know this is the beginning of Memorial Day weekend but we hope that we can get as many as we can to go up and help do this great service! 

 

Game Night!

Because the Church is not available on May 30th, we have set up Game Night at Glendoveer Golf Club.  Please take your child to the course at 7:00PM and pick him up at 9:00PM.

 

Calendar

If you noticed the calendar, the dates for the rest of the year have been put on because there is so much going on we don’t want you to forget a thing!  We know that this time of year is very busy with sports, graduation, family stuff, but we also want everyone to participate in the scouting events.  Especially the last Court of Honor for the scouting year and the Camp Meeting after that.  It is very important that any boy that is going to camp has a parent represented at the Summer Camp Meeting!

 

Plant Sale Pick Up

Don’t forget that May 9th will be your plant sale pick up day at Lynch Wood Church of God.  This is your ONLY chance to pick up your plants.  Jerri needs help unloading the plants.  If you could be there by 3:00PM that would be helpful!
