Permanent Flag
Retirement
With respect we raise and proudly fly the flag of the United
States of America as a symbol of our freedom. With respect we
salute those who gave their life to secure that freedom. With
respect we salute those that are currently serving our country at
home and abroad, who look to our flag as a reminder to why they
serve. And, when our flag gets old and worn and needs to be
permanently retired, we again proudly salute it for the service it
has shown. On March 12th, 2005 Troop 542 permanently retired two
flags that have served our country well.

|
 |
was the crackle of the fire. |
|
