Junior Leader Training Spring 2005


Starting in 2005, Troop 542's Junior Leader Training (JLT) will be primarily conducted by recent Eagle Scouts. The honor for this JLT session fell to recent Eagle recipient Jon W., who did a great job and created an excellent role model for future presenters.

 22 members of Troop 542's leadership council was present.

Mr. Vermillion presented the Junior Leader Organizational Chart and the responsibilities of each position.

Jon conducted the rest of the meeting stressing the different types of leadership and when each type works best.

The training included several "thinking" games that was especially helpful for the younger boys.

Part of the training was presented by video with pauses for Jon to have discussions to reinforce the leadership lessons.

For some, this is their first leadership role. For others, it is a time to perfect their training. For all, it is a time to grow...
