Fall JLT (Junior Leader Training)

This Fall's Junior Leader Training (JLT) was conducted by recent Eagle Scout Travis Ewan. 18 Junior Leaders were trained for their respective positions. This is going to be a great season!

Let the training begin...

The first exercise was about learning and earning trust, shared leadership, and teamwork.

The goal of this lesson was to self organize the exercise with only minimal instructions. Instructions: create a circle of scouts, have every other person lean (at the ankles) towards the center of the circle while the opposite scouts lean outward (at the ankles) thus relying on and trusting the other members of the group.

We learned about the different types of leadership (Big boss and Shared Leadership) and the good/bad points about each type.

This exercise focuses on team work, demonstrating that when we work as a team, nothing is impossible.

Good job scouts!

Have a great year.
