Thunderbird District 2006 Awards

Each year the Thunderbird District sponsors an awards dessert to honor Troops, Packs, Crews, and Adults for their achievements and commitment to the Boy Scouts of America.
 

 Welcome to the Thunderbird District 2006 Awards Dessert.

Congratulations to Crew 542 for being selected as runner-up for Top Crew! Mrs. Chapman, the Crew chairperson, accepted the award.

The "Spark Plug" award is given to an individual in the troop that always gives that "spark" to the troop. This year's recipient is Dr. DesJardins for his spark, drive, and desire to make Troop 542 the best it can be. He is our webmaster, helps out with records for nights camping and service hours, is the troops outdoor activity coordinator, and the troops transportation coordinator. Great job Dr. D!

The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts in the same manner that the Silver Beaver is a national award presented by councils. The award is available to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level.  Only a very few of these awards are given each year and it is our pleasure to recognize our very own Scoutmaster Vermillion as one of this year's recipients. Congratulations!

We want to thank all of the Troop 542 adults and scouts that help us make our job easier and for the kind nomination for these awards.
