Polaris Leadership Training

Polaris is the Boy Scout National Youth Leadership Training Conference operated by the Cascade Pacific Council. It is an exciting, action based program designed to provide Boy Scouts with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

The Polaris training takes place at Camp Cooper, nestled in the hills of the Oregon Coast range.

The Camp Cooper facilities are a group of rustic community buildings with Adirondack style housing.

Josh attending the final flag ceremony.

Bryan at the flag ceremony. Also present was Bobby, but somehow we missed getting a picture of him.

Camp Cooper is famous for Lake Hurl. Our understanding is that it's called Lake Hurl because that is what you want to do when you dive in...apparently the water is very cold!

Thanks for a great week and the valuable training we received at Polaris.
