High Adventure - Bahamas

Every two years Troop 542's older scouts (ages 14-18) have the opportunity to participate in a High Adventure outing. This year 10 of our scouts and 4 adults spent 6 days exploring the waters off the shores of the Bahamas.

Are we ready?

Time for a nap before the long flight?

The next leg of our journey is by puddle jumper to the Bahamas.

Then a bus ride....

Finally, the beautiful islands of the Bahamas.

Having fun sailing the boat, of course under the watchful eye of the captian.

Captain Stephen at the wheel.

C.J. making lunch in the galley.

One of the two boat crews.

Sam doing a little body surfing.

A few scouts on their way to snorkel the reef.

Snorkeling anyone....

The reef...wow so many kinds and colors of fish.

Like us, this turtle was checking out a wreck in the shallow water.

Ian next to a large Bead Fruit tree.

We took some time away from our sea legs to enjoy the local delicacies.

After a long day of "work" and play, we took some time to enjoy the sunset and each others company.

Thanks for a great trip.
