Butte Creek Cabin

The planned outing in March was to go to Silver Creek Falls Ranch House; however, after nine months on the waiting list the ranch house was not available. We looked at several opportunities including Ox-bow park (tent camping) and finally decided on the cabin at Butte Creek Ranch (indoor camping).

Getting settled in...

Master fire builder Vermillion helps out getting the fire going.

Bryan acts as MC for the camp fire.

One of the groups performing the skit "The Submarine"

A nice fire for the flag retirement ceremony.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands:
     one Nation under God, indivisible,
with Liberty and Justice for all.

And then, if you needed to use the KYBO, you needed to be prepared for a trip up a very steep slippery muddy hill to this old looking outhouse.

Here is some of the creature life we shared our meadow with.

Great weekend Troop 542!
